The A10 was shut for several hours between Littleport and Downham Market for recovery work.

Police received reports of the collision between a Ford Focus and two tractors at about 2.50pm on Tuesday 28 November 2023.

Officers and paramedics attended and closed the A10 for several hours between the Mildenhall Road roundabout and Brandon Creek.

The driver of the car, 68-year-old Susan Folkes from Littleport, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, her family said:

"Sue was a much-loved member of our family and her sudden and tragic passing has left us all shocked and heartbroken.

“Sue was a beautiful, loyal and kind person, who will be missed by everyone who knew her."

No one else was injured in the crash.

One of the tractor drivers, a 40-year-old man from King’s Lynn, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has since been released on bail.

Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler from Cambridgeshire Police:

"A woman has tragically lost her life in this collision and my thoughts are with her family and friends at this very difficult time.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision, or any of the vehicles prior to it, to please get in touch."

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is being urged to report it to Cambridgeshire Police using reference: CC-28112023-0235.
