Woman charged in connection with Peterborough death

A WOMAN has been charged following the death of a man in Peterborough on Sunday (April 30).

Kelly Almond, 34, of Oundle Road in Peterborough, was arrested on Tuesday (May 2) on suspicion of the murder of 53-year-old Stuart Wilkinson.

Stuart’s body was discovered by a member of the public in a play park opposite Queen’s Walk in Fletton at about 10.50am on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination of Stuart’s body proved inconclusive, therefore the death is now being treated as unexplained. Detectives are awaiting toxicology reports.

Ms Almond has been charged with disposing of a corpse to obstruct the coroner and perverting the course of justice. She has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (May 5).
