Plans are being considered for more 20mph speed limits in Cambridgeshire villages.

On Tuesday 1 October 2024, Cambridgeshire County Council agreed the new 20mph schemes would progress in eight areas across the county from summer next year (2024/25).

The new schemes in Waterbeach, Stow-cum-Quy, Elm, Bottisham, Little Paxton, Earith, Swavesey and Steeple Morden were among 66 applications received countywide.

This year, 2023/24, there were 20 projects funded through the programme – with two already installed in Great Staughton and Great Abington.
