Stephen Lindsay, 33, of Kings Ripton Road, was sentenced to 36 weeks in prison at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to theft from a shop and six counts of handling stolen goods.
Between 26 April and 16 May he took a bike, laptop, ear pods, ipod, cash and more from vehicles parked in Beaumont Close, Pennington Road and Florida Avenue in Hartford and Maryland Avenue, Thirlmere and Wertheim Way in Huntingdon.
He also took a hat from TK Maxx in Huntingdon but was stopped by security staff. Through CCTV and ring doorbell footage, offers were able to identify and arrest Lindsay.
PC Chester Lewis, from the Huntingdon Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Thefts from vehicles can be intrusive and traumatic crimes for victims. We’d like to thank everyone who came forward and assisted us with our investigation. We’re always seeking to bring those to justice for the crimes they have committed.
