A man has been jailed for driving his car into a moped rider in Northstowe.
Omar Harris turned his black Kia into a weapon when he smashed into the rider on Eagle Way at just after 2pm on 1 August 2024.
The 33-year-old got out of the vehicle unharmed while the victim fled the scene on foot.
Harris was called by his girlfriend to the street after an argument she was having with the victim began to escalate.
While on route to the scene Harris also crashed into a parked Fiat 500 in Stirling Road causing considerable damage to the vehicle but failed to stop and report it.
When he arrived in Eagle Way he mounted the pavement in the Kia, throwing the victim off his scooter, before flipping the vehicle onto its side and into a house.
The victim, in his 20s, suffered superficial injuries to his legs, arms and back.
At Peterborough Crown Court on Monday 3 February 2025, Harris, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years and three months in prison.
