The Royal Scot passed through Ely on its journey to the Peak District.

On Wednesday 8 May 2024, Steam Dreams Rail Company invited passengers to immerse themselves in "the glamour of yesteryear".

The luxurious steam train, built in 1927, chugged hundreds of passengers across the country on a one-day-only trip.

The journey began in Colchester, stopping at Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Ely and Peterborough,  and then up to the Amber Valley and Chesterfield.
