Police in Cambridge have made 83 arrests as part of a crackdown on city centre crime.
The Spree Offending Team, based at Parkside Police Station, was set up in September 2023.
They work to track down persistent shoplifters, beggars, bike thieves and burglars in the city.
Over the past six months, they have made 83 arrests and secured charges for 369 crimes.
Officers say it is a "misconception" that these lower-level crimes are less important to police.
