It happened on Thursday (13 April at about 4.30pm) when a light coloured Volkswagen five door hatchback pulled onto the drive of the victim’s home in The Cinques.
A man got out and knocked on the door and walked into the home claiming he was going to be carrying out works in a neighbouring garden. Two further men then got out of the vehicle and entered the home. They made off with £260 in cash.
Detective Constable Sarah Longbottom, from the southern burglary team, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of this burglary and saw either the vehicle or these men. I would ask people to view any dashcam or doorbell footage they may have. Any information, however insignificant it may seem, could prove valuable to the investigation.”
